Stephen Simon

Stephen is an expert in the music of George Frederic Handel. For 25 years, he was the music director of the Washington Chamber Symphony, the resident chamber orchestra at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. He has delighted audiences, young and old, around the world with his original compositions, arrangements and conducting style. During the concerts, through his insightful explanations to the audience of the music and the instruments that create the magical sounds and effects, Mr. Simon has become known as the beloved ‘Magic Maestro'.

With his wife Bonnie, he premiered the Stories in Music™ series at the Kennedy Center and is delighted to bring the concert experience to children and their families everywhere through these new CD recordings from Magic Maestro Music/Kids, a division of Magic Maestro Music™. Bonnie Ward Simon

Bonnie is an arts director and music educator par excellence.
She is the co-creator and executive producer of Stories in Music™, the latest in her series of creations. As the former Executive Director of the Washington Chamber Symphony, she helped found both the Concerts for Young People at the Kennedy Center and the Viva Vivaldi™ national competition for teenage girls to re-create Vivaldi's all-girl orchestra. Ms. Simon has also been published numerous times in parenting magazines such as Washington Parent and Big Apple, writing on a wide range of music related topics.

With the portfolio of works that she and her husband Stephen have collected and performed over the years for the Stories in Music™ series, she is excited to extend the concert experience through the CD recordings into the home, car and classroom.
